So much for the weekend project.

What a nightmare. This porject that was supposed to be a weekend project has turned into so much more. Reubrn got the tub all installed Sunday night. I was so ready to take a nice long hot bath. I turn the water on and it's cold. Not good. So he took the handle off and messed with the valve inside. The valve is no good. Boo. Monday morning I took the part back to Home Depot and thank god they had another one in stock. So Monday night reuben gets it installed and working. Yesterday he put up drywall and calked. Someday soon I will be able to take a bath. I just don't know when yet.

Happy New Year!!

Well the new year has brounght us a new house. It only took foreever for everything to go through, but it finally did. We Added money to the loan to get some back for renevations. Teh first thing we did was put a new roof on. This weekend we are taking on the bathroom. Reuben has taken out the bath tub and suround. After doing that he found the whole floor was rotten. Out that came. Today he is putting in the new floor and hopefully we get the new tub and suround in today. There are plenty of other things that need to get done to make this little house a home, but we are well on our way. I will keep my this updated as we go along. I am taking pictures along the way to document our progress.

A day late and a dollar short.

A day late and a dollar short. Thats how it seems to end up with this whole house buying thing. We didn't get yet another house. The people that ended up woth the house we really wanted offered 10,000 over asking price. Why? So the search continues. thsi is deffinetly not for the faint of heart.

Buying a house is stressfull

Every time we put an offer on a house I get all stressed out. I should feel like a pro at it now. After all we have put offers on 4 different houses now. Every time we have put an offer it comes back that somebody beat us to the punch. Wouldn't it figure that a house sits on the market for over 100 days with no activity and once we decide to put an offer down someone else does too.
Well I hope that doesn't happen this time. We have found the perfect house. It was built in 1949 and it is so cool. It has 2 bedrooms and a basement and an extra bonus room upstairs. It has 3 floors. I absolutely love it. It also has hardwood floors and a huge deck outback perfect for entertaining. So everyone keep your figures and toes and what ever else you can cross crossed for us. We really want this house.

Potty training here we come!!!

So Daniel is almost 15 months old and I thought I would try to start potty training. Reuben and I went out to babies r us and looking at many different potty chairs. We finally decided on one that looks like a big people toilet. When we got home we took it out of the box and put it together. Daniel started pushing it all around the house. He then decided that he wanted to take it all apart. It is now in the vathroom next to our toilet. He likes to take the seat off and take out the little bucket that is inside. HE has sat on it a few times, but has not acctually gone potty on it. I hope he takes to using the big boy potty fast like he has taken to other things quickly.
Well it is time to end this post now because Daniel is done playing in the office and is screaming his head off. Wish us luck!!

Daniels first hair cut.

Well We took Daniel to get his very first hair cut today. I was going to take him to one of those places that is for kids only, but they all charge over 20 bucks for a childs hair cut. Too much for me to spend. I remember seeing that Great Clips was having a sale so we went there. Daddy and Daniel both got hair cuts. I was going to but chickened out in the end. So Danile is getting ready to get his hair cut and I take out my camera and the batteries are dead. I had to tke pictures with my cell phone. He did a really good job and sat still the whole time. Now his hair is all short and he doesn't look so messy all the time. I will post pictures when I get them off my camera.

Where has the time gone?

I am not very good at keeping up with this. Time just seems to get away from me and before I know it a month has gone by. Danile is growing up so fast. I can't believe he is 13 months already. He had a blast at his birthday party, but got kinda tired at the end. He wasn't into opening his presents to much so I did most of that. He did love playing with all of his new toys though Here are some pictures from his party.

Christmas came and went with out much excitment. Except for the snow. That made it hard to get around and get all the gifts. Again Daniel was not to interested in opening his presents. I did that again.

Daniel did love to play in the snow. He was always trying to get outside everytime a door was opened. Here are some pictures of him in the snow.
